Cel i zakres tematyczny czasopisma<\/h3>\n

Dzi\u015b, gdy instytucja uniwersytetu znalaz\u0142a si\u0119 w samym centrum dyskusji dotycz\u0105cych spo\u0142ecznego i gospodarczego rozwoju nowoczesnych spo\u0142ecze\u0144stw, teoretyczny namys\u0142 i empiryczne badania jej przekszta\u0142ce\u0144 maj\u0105 znaczenie wi\u0119ksze ni\u017c kiedykolwiek wcze\u015bniej. Bardzo trudno jednak ujmowa\u0107 jej transformacje w oderwaniu od transformacji, jakim poddawana jest ca\u0142a tkanka spo\u0142eczna, w kt\u00f3rej uniwersytet jest osadzony. Nowoczesny uniwersytet \u2013 podobnie jak, szerzej, ca\u0142e szkolnictwo wy\u017csze \u2013 podlega dzisiaj bowiem dok\u0142adnie takim samym presjom jak inne nowoczesne instytucje spo\u0142eczne. Dzieje si\u0119 tak na ca\u0142ym \u015bwiecie, r\u00f3wnie\u017c i w Polsce. Uwa\u017camy, \u017ce w tej sytuacji istotnego znaczenia nabieraj\u0105 zw\u0142aszcza mi\u0119dzynarodowe badania por\u00f3wnawcze szkolnictwa wy\u017cszego.<\/p>\n

Chcieliby\u015bmy, aby przyjmowane do druku teksty prezentowa\u0142y podej\u015bcie dyscyplinarne i metodologiczne zwi\u0105zane z naukowymi badaniami szkolnictwa wy\u017cszego (czyli higher education research<\/em>). W polskim kontek\u015bcie du\u017ce znaczenie ma koncentracja na drugim cz\u0142onie tego okre\u015blenia, a mianowicie research.<\/em> Zamierzamy publikowa\u0107 tutaj wyniki bada\u0144 naukowych, podobnie jak przez ostatnie dwie dekady funkcjonowania pisma \u00a0\u2013 a nie akademickie polemiki. Chocia\u017c pola badawcze zajmowane przez ten obszar wiedzy w \u015bwiecie s\u0105 dosy\u0107 \u015bci\u015ble zdefiniowane, a same badania maj\u0105 rozleg\u0142\u0105 tradycj\u0119 teoretyczn\u0105, w Polsce ta subdyscyplina nauk spo\u0142ecznych (oraz nauk o polityce publicznej) \u2013 w wersji znanej w krajach Europy Zachodniej \u2013 dopiero zaczyna si\u0119 rozwija\u0107.\u00a0 Ma jednak du\u017c\u0105 tradycj\u0119 w Polsce powojennej, do kt\u00f3rej warto nawi\u0105zywa\u0107.<\/p>\n

W zwi\u0105zku z tak okre\u015blon\u0105 rol\u0105 pisma, publikowane teksty nie b\u0119d\u0105 bra\u0107 udzia\u0142u w publicystycznych dyskusjach, polskich czy mi\u0119dzynarodowych \u2013 chocia\u017c by\u0107 mo\u017ce do tych pierwszych b\u0119d\u0105 si\u0119 po\u015brednio przyczynia\u0107. Nie b\u0119d\u0105 te\u017c bezpo\u015brednio odpowiada\u0107 na bie\u017c\u0105ce problemy szkolnictwa wy\u017cszego. Naturalnym odbiorc\u0105 publikacji z obszaru bada\u0144 szkolnictwa wy\u017cszego jest wsp\u00f3lnota badawcza, kt\u00f3ra tym obszarem \u015bwiata spo\u0142ecznego zajmuje si\u0119 naukowo i zawodowo. Odbiorcami pisma mog\u0105 by\u0107 r\u00f3wnie\u017c, rzecz jasna, naukowcy zajmuj\u0105cy si\u0119 badaniami szkolnictwa wy\u017cszego jedynie okazjonalnie, z perspektywy swoich dyscyplin, oraz \u2013 jak w ca\u0142ym \u015bwiecie \u2013 tzw. refleksyjni praktycy.
