Marek Kwiek becomes a national team leader and Dominik Antonowicz a team member in a Structural Reform of Higher Education Systems (SHERDE) Project coordinated by CHEPS (Center for Higher Education Policy Studies), Twente University, Enschede, the Netherlands and CHEGG (Centre for Higher Education Governance Ghent), Ghent University, Belgium.

A proposal for a research project on structural reform in higher education has been accepted by the European Commission (DG Education and Culture). In this 14 month project we will investigate comprehensive structural reforms in higher education systems since 2000 and try to find out which elements of the policy process (context, design, implementation, evaluation) have contributed to success or failure of these reforms.
